Learner Driver Terms and Conditions
In order to have driving lessons you must:
- Be aged 17 or older (16 or over if disabled)
- Hold a driving licence that is valid for the UK (provisional, full or an appropriate foreign licence)
It is your responsibility to provide requested details to Love London Driving to enable DVSA verification that you have a valid licence to drive before the commencement of your first driving lesson. If you fail to provide this proof, Love London Driving is entitled to refuse to conduct the driving lesson but may still charge you for such driving lesson.
Paying For Lessons
You can pay for driving lessons in advance via bank transfer.
Refund Policy
If you decide you no longer wish to have driving lessons with Love London Driving or, if you do not fully use your package for other reasons, you will be refunded any funds remaining. This refund will be pro rata, rounded down to the closest package relating to the actual hours tuition provided by Love London Driving, with any additional hours over that package charged at the reduced hourly rate for that package (rather than the standard hourly rate). No charges will be applied (unless cancellation is made within less than 48 hours).
If a lesson is cancelled due to the student suspected of being under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or any other substance which could impair their driving ability, the lesson will not take place and no refund will be offered.
Booking Fees
Love London Driving does not charge a booking fee.
Cancellation policy
You must give Love London Driving at least 48 hours’ notice if you wish to cancel or re-arrange a booked driving lesson. Failure to do so may result in Love London Driving charging you the full amount for that driving lesson – this decision is at the discretion of Love London Driving who will generally allow one late cancellation without charge.
Transferring Prepaid Lessons
You cannot sell or transfer driving lessons which have been purchased in your name to any other person.
Vouchers
Love London Driving offers vouchers as gifts. The voucher has no cash value. The Voucher is non refundable
Introductory Offers
These offers are only available to new customers to Love London Driving and only one introductory offer is allowed per pupil.
Liability
Your instructor is not liable to you for any loss or damage caused where, and to the extent that:
- There is no breach of a legal duty owed to you by the relevant person or body;
- Such loss or damage is not a reasonably foreseeable result of such a breach of a legal duty;
- Any such loss or damage, or increase in the same, results from any breach or omission by you; or
- Any such loss or damage results from circumstances or matters outside of the reasonable control of the relevant person or body.
Your instructor shall not, in any event, be liable for losses relating to any business interests you may have including, without limitation, lost profits, loss of opportunity or business or business interruption.
The “learner” is expected to be aware of the law. The instructor will intervene where possible but, in the event of a penalty charge notice/notice of intended prosecution arising from a driving infringement being received for the period the “learner” was driving, the “learner” shall be entirely responsibility for any charges/license-points/prosecution.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions will affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
Registration Process
In order to become a new student, the instructor will either complete the registration process on the student’s behalf or you can select a suitable package and sign up here.
Fees & Cancellation
A minimum period of 48 hours is required for cancellation of a booked lesson.
The full charge, at the discretion of the instructor, may be charged if this period is not observed.
Customers who are considered to be under the influence of drink and/or drugs at the time of their booked lesson will be charged in full and the lesson will not take place.
General
- Love London Driving will not be held responsible for loss of any personal items left in any training vehicle.
- Love London Driving cannot be held responsible for any practical tests being cancelled by DVSA (Driver Vehicle Standards Agency).
- Love London Driving reserves the right to terminate any pupil’s training course if it deems the pupil to present a danger to themselves, other road users or the instructor. No refund of fees will be made.
Should a pupil wish to make a complaint about Love London Driving, this must be made in writing within 7 days of the end of the lesson. All complaints will be dealt with fairly and the outcome communicated to the Customer.
Support
Love London Driving will provide you with emails with information relating to the lesson and phone advice.
Love London Driving will provide a roadworthy and suitably insured vehicle.
